This past December, we held an Open Mic for Mutual Aid at Connexion!
As of January 2025, we have reached our $1000 fundraising goal. Thank you all for your generous support.
We divided our proceeds between our Music Access Program (WTMA Scholarship Fund), MECA for Peace, and a trans-two-spirit disabled healer/artist named Honeybee Beloved. Honeybee has been in great financial need after a life-altering emergency surgery.
So many thanks to everyone who attended our Open Mic. It was so wonderful to see and hear you all; it was a wonderful turnout. Gratitude also to all our performers and teachers, especially to Flight or Visibility, and Quinn Gutman whose students are featured in these photos.

Thanks also to Lina Malshy for playing so beautifully as our featured performer on Arabic Violin with your talented friend Layan. They performed again together at the “Light of Palestine” concert at First Parish of Watertown, Dec 18th, 7pm.
Lastly, thanks so much to Connexion for graciously hosting us, and to Pastor Jordan for tech assistance! It is important to us to keep our events hybrid online/in-person, and we are so grateful that you all make that possible.
Gender affirming voice lessons, songwriting, karaoke coaching, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and oud are just some of the classes WTMA offers via our scholarship program. $65 covers one student for 1 month.
